I recently completed several App download summary reports for a client.  It shouldn’t have been a surprise to me but I was amazed at the global reach of their apps.  The client and I partnered together to build a daily content app that allowed them to distribute news items, featured articles, and highlight new products. When I completed my report their apps had been downloaded thousands of times in 67 different countries across 3 different platforms.  Amazing!

From my own experience international sales represents 30%-40% of Jam-Mobile app purchases in any given months. This past year our royalty reports started to show App Sales in ZAR Currency (South African Rand).  I had to Google the Currency symbol to do the conversion.  When I built these specific apps I wasn’t thinking about selling to the South African Market.  The growth and reach of mobile platforms such as iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry, and Windows Phone 7 has made this possible.
